I have (on another system) tar (GNU tar) 1.13 but I do not know
if this will allow dump and restore properly.

I see in the amanda page that the format of -t is different then
expected and causes issues with amrecover, but if I run amrestore
I can render that a non-issue for my site.

Does anyone know if this version of gtar is sufficient for amdump
and amrestore to work properly ? ** This gtar is apparently from
the Sun freeware kit.

thanks,

Brian
