maybe a yes there, but take note I wasn't recording, therefore no
file change as we read it. It ran last night with no such
messages. Also, lots of killed time, so I moved it up to 0215 and
0216. It doesn't take long to do <40k of config stuff :-)
Hopefully, all I have to do now to recover is to dd to /dev/null
about 38 times and read the last two files before EOT, then install
that data, rewind and amrecover.

Once I *really* get the hang of how this works, I think I'll have to
agree. So far, my recoveries have been 100% dd driven because of
this.
