And I was wrong, apparently (big surprise, eh?): 8.0.1.5 saveset ALL 
worked without an error ...

Now to update all 5 of my test Vms to this version, and try again.
BTW, what does "The backup of VSS emit save set 'C:\' succeeded"? What's 
an "emit save set"?
