All my machines can ping each other now but the issue is still not resolved. I 
also went through all your suggestions and made sure everything is okay. Still 
nothing.

my ports are forwarded through the firewall but I still can't connect to the 
clients.

When I change the director address to the public IP address, I can't connect to 
the director at all
