The easy way to exchange keys on Fedora to use rsync over ssh assuming you're using root to do the backup on the clien:

(as root)
# su -s /bin/bash -l backuppc
# ssh-keygen
(don't add a passphrase, it would defeat the purpose)
# ssh-copy-id root@<client>

After that you should be able to "ssh root@<client>" and it login without prompting for a password.
