Like in described in the docu...
I have now problem with backup, but I have a problem with restore...
Backup works like a charm...

operator@mammon:~$ /usr/sbin/amtape finanzbuch show
amtape: scanning all 10 slots in tape-changer rack:
slot 2: date 20030708 label finanzbuch_002
slot 3: date 20030625 label finanzbuch_003
slot 4: date 20030626 label finanzbuch_004
slot 5: date 20030627 label finanzbuch_005
slot 6: date 20030628 label finanzbuch_006
slot 7: date 20030701 label finanzbuch_007
slot 8: date 20030702 label finanzbuch_008
slot 9: date 20030703 label finanzbuch_009
slot 10: date 20030704 label finanzbuch_010
slot 1: date 20030705 label finanzbuch_001

This works fine, but restore doesn't and I have no idea why not...

Here is the answer to your previous mail I had no time to answer to:

amrecover_changer "chg-multi"

I can do recovery just fine and the files are extracted like expected,
but this amrecover_changer is intended to do this tape changing, so I
won't have to, or am I wrong in this?

So I can recover but not as easy as I'd like to... Hope someone can give
me an hint, why amdump does know about the changer and amrecover
doesn't...

Cheers and thanks
Nicki
