Too fast here.  It should have been looking for which slot
the tape is in.

path = /usr/sbin/amrestore
argv[0] = "amrestore"
argv[1] = "-p"
argv[2] = "-h"
argv[3] = "chg-multi"

And if it found the slot, the arg here would have been "file:/..."
instead of "chg-multi".

Following the source code, I see that amrecover only asks the server
for the tapeslot if it has the amrecover_check_label feature set.

Add the directives to amanda.conf
        amrecover_check_label yes
        amrecover_do_fsf  yes

and try again.
