If you're using RH/Debian/Ubuntu then you can get it running fairly 
quickly (an afternoon). The only gotcha is remembering to make the mysql 
dump in full portable format.

Postgres is self-tuning for the most part, so "learning" it doesn't 
actually take that long compared to mysql.
