Again, the price is right - if you use the freenx variation  several 
distros have it as an installable package.  And it doesn't need to be on 
the server that is the target of your work, just one that is behind the 
firewall and can reach it.  I do most of my work in a freenx session, 
mostly from my desktop at the office but can pick it up from a mac at 
home or a laptop on the road with an assortment of windows and 
long-running commands still open.  If you mix Linux and Windows work, 
it's easier to have two monitors with an NX session from a server parked 
on one than to keep two boxes running under your desk - and you get a 
cut/paste that works between them most of the time.
