I got the following message when ran 'amcheck -c DailySet1':
WARNING: mws: selfcheck request timed out. Host down?
Client check: 1 host checked in 30.000 seconds, 1 problem found
(brought to you by Amanda 2.4.3)

The disk(client) is part of the tape server.

The network looks fine. I ran the following commands on the tape server:
[root@mws sbin]# netstat -a | grep amanda
udp 0 0 *:amanda *:*
[root@mws sbin]# ps -A | grep xinetd
13615 ? 00:00:00 xinetd

I only saw one file 'amcheck.20030204091919.debug' in /tmp/amanda.
It didn't give me much information.
 I couldn't find 'selfcheck*debug' files.

Are there more check points?

Thanks!

David
