Hi,
We'll be doing upgrades to our current backup infrastructure. Currently
our master server is running NBU 5.0 MP5 on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux
ES release 2.1 (Panama) on a Dell server. The new master server will be
running NBU 6.0 on a Sun SPARC server (not yet sure which model at this
point). So during the upgrade/migration, we'll be importing things from
the linux box to the Solaris box, things that include policies, catalogs
and other DBs. Has anybody done this before? What would be the best way
to import the data including policies, catalogs, and other information
from the old Linux master to the new Solaris master? I heard that this
kind of migration was not supported by Veritas. Is that true?
Thanks,
Rongsheng
