I'd do this as 2 separate tasks. First, migrate from your existing
environment to 5.0 MP5 on Solaris. Run that for a bit to make sure you
haven't broken anything. Once it all works, *then* upgrade that
environment to 6.0 MP4.
Do not attempt this all at one shot - there are way too many changes
involved and there's a reasonably good chance that unless you really,
really know what you're doing (and if you did, you wouldn't be asking
here :-)), you'll be reverting.

I believe that this is not supported but you should log a call and
confirm. However, it does have a reasonably good chance of success
(unlike a Windows to Solaris migration for example).
Don't forget that you should not change the host names. You may have to
put up with a Solaris system named something like linux1.example.com -
just don't change it. Sometime down the road we'll get the supported
ability to rename the master and you can change it then. You'll be
attempted a major change - break it up into smaller pieces as much as
possible.
