We had these major issues with Avamar:

  - It put a lot of load onto our older W2K3 clients. I agree that this is not 
an issue for W2K8 clients any more. However, have had a bunch of old machines 
which are almost gone now.
 
  - The other major issue is that there is no easy way to report the true size 
of a save set. So in a mixed environment, you can not really 'compare' or 
summarize the SS sizes.
