@ BIngo, NO the Avamar server is NOT defined as a SN. It is in fact selected as 
a de-dupe node when configuring a client instance. Storage nodes are defined 
separately on the client instance. Regardless of which SN you send the data to 
the AV grid if the AV grid itself is down the backup job fails.
