You are assuming spooling direct to tape and a fast array.

I would expect 20-22 hours for 800Gb to LTO2 via a spool disk.

35 hours is easily possible if the spool our source disks are heavily
loaded - Just another variable to consider.

Even without a spool disk - if the source disk is slow enough that the
LTO2 drive starts shoeshining, backup times will at least triple.
