I don’t think RsyncP supports –whole-file for receiving. I initially went over to rsyncd because I thought this was the only way to
remove ssh, I know different now but the problem is RsyncP, which is used in both transfer methods.

I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that the rsync method doesn't ignore the --whole-file option. Is there a reason why you use rsyncd instead of rsync?
