I don't understand this. because It will ask me the tape to put in. I can
switch to another session and type
amtape DailySet1 label DAILY-5
and it will go through the changer and put the right tape in the drive.
amtape being a command for Amanda and not the mtx changer portion.
So it sounds to me that Amanda is aware of which tape it needs
(amrestore) and (amtape) can find the tape that it needs. So why can't
when I go to restore a file and get to the point were it is asking me
for the tape, why doesn't it find the tape?

I have to open another session and tell it to load the right tape.
So my question is (after looking at some of the code) does the MTX
changer only changes the tapes
to the next tape or previous tape and not to the tape that it needs?
