Servers don't crash on high load unless they've got bad hardware or are 
out of memory - and bacula client doesn't use much memory.

If it's grinding then you have under-specified the machine for the tasks 
it is asked to do.

If that allows you to get your backups done, then do it.

However you would be better off identifying the root cause of your 
crashes. Making bacula "nicer" is only treating the symptoms.
