For something like de-spooling the spooled transactions and updating the 
catalog, even with SSD it takes quite a system to saturate a dedicated 
gigabit connection. Even if it does, 2-node clusters like this usually 
use direct NIC-to-NIC cabling with no switch, so adding a couple more 
NICs in a bonded configuration is cheap and effectively doubles network 
bandwidth.
