I finish installing 2.6.32 of backports to test:

backup:~# uname -a
Linux backup 2.6.32-bpo.5-686 #1 SMP Fri Jun 11 22:20:29 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux

backup:~# lsscsi
[2:0:0:0]    cd/dvd  Optiarc  DVD RW AD-7190A  1.05  /dev/sr0
[5:0:0:0]    disk    ATA      ST3160211AS      3.AA  /dev/sda

It draws attention to me that in this case does it not have /proc/scsi:

backup:~# ls -l /proc/scsi/*
ls: cannot access /proc/scsi/*: No such file or directory

backup:~# dmesg|grep -i ciss
[    1.428851] HP CISS Driver (v 3.6.20)
[    1.440419] cciss 0000:02:00.0: PCI INT A -> Link[LNED] -> GSI 18 (level,
low) -> IRQ 18
[    1.440480] cciss 0000:02:00.0: irq 27 for MSI/MSI-X
[    1.440483] cciss 0000:02:00.0: irq 28 for MSI/MSI-X
[    1.440485] cciss 0000:02:00.0: irq 29 for MSI/MSI-X
[    1.440488] cciss 0000:02:00.0: irq 30 for MSI/MSI-X
[ 1.444913] IRQ 29/cciss0: IRQF_DISABLED is not guaranteed on shared IRQs
[    1.444930] cciss0: <0x323a> at PCI 0000:02:00.0 IRQ 29 using DAC

backup:~# ls -l /dev/cciss/*
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 104, 0 jun 13 12:21 /dev/cciss/c0d0

But I do not see in dmesg some information regarding the tape driver or
the changer :-(

Thanks for your reply.

Regards,
Daniel
