Since when do you need vss *after* the backup was created using vss? Vss simply
allows
consistent copies to be made at the time of the copy.
No comment on the approach the op wants to use, I have my own methods, but your
opinion of the ops method is a little naïve, itself:)
I use vss to get proper usable backups of MSSQL and MSExchange which leaves me
with
the exact files I attempted to copy.
