I never told this. I only told that a Windows system (NTFS, maybe) is
responsible to set the archive bit and that it's very related to ctime
on Unix as a backup indicator. Windows and Unix do not match. I know
this.
It´s not necessary to run Winzip to mess the thing. The user can
easily change the archive bit. I agree it's risky.

"My solution" is not mine. It´s very old. And my subject is
"Windows...". As I know the Unix solution is done and seams good. As
the VSS snapshot, do you know the answer? So enrich the discussion. I
don't know. If you know about the Wikipedia info "NTFS has a POSIX
change date", feel free to comment. I am here to also learn.

That's why I told that I will test Bacula in Windows for serious for
the first time, expecting that no file is left behind. It seams like
one-way synchronization. is It?

It's good to hear this. Bacula is a very complex solution to backup.
By complex I mean pretty complete also. The Windows incremental backup
issue seams to be now handled. But it's new. Debian/Ubuntu packages
are in testing phase and my expectations are high.
