Alright guys, I went ahead and created a COPR for BackupPC...

You just have to go in and download the repository file and copy to /etc/yum.repos.d/

It uses the same name so a simple "yum update" should pick it up...

It SHOULD save the new config.pl to config.pl.rpmnew

I recommend doing a diff -Nau config.pl config.pl.rpmnew and saving the chunks you need and reapply them to the new config.pl... If you had customized rsync commands you may need to re setup them up.

May the odds be ever in your favor!

Thanks,
Richard

Thanks for this.

First, I will admit to being a little "green" to the manner CentOS does a few things so, I'm about to ask newbie question.

I have fetched and located your COPR into /etc/yum.repos.d/ as instructed.

Ran:  # yum install BackupPC

And get this near the end (of all the dependencies list):

---> Package mesa-libgbm.x86_64 0:11.2.2-2.20160614.el7 will be installed
---> Package mesa-libglapi.x86_64 0:11.2.2-2.20160614.el7 will be installed
--> Finished Dependency Resolution

 You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
 You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodiges

Oops, I need to add to the instruction, you'll definitely need to have the Fedora EPEL repo installed as well...

I could add it as a dependency but I don't like automatically installing repos...

Thanks,
Richard
