I haven't been following the posts to this list too closely, or bothered to upgrade amanda, for some time (since our existing setup *works*...), so I didn't find out until right now that tape spanning is supported in the current release.
Anyhow, I'd really like to know more about how the spanning actually works. Is it documented anywhere? http://www.amanda.org/docs and FAQ still say that the option does not exist...
