What is the meaning of incrementals you are referring to. Is it backup
level 1 where it will always take modified files withrespect to last
full backup OR backup level 2-9 it will backup the files with respect
to last incremental backup.

For that you need to look at the 'bump' parameters in amanda.conf. In most cases, amanda will do a level 0 once per dumpcycle and then level 1s the rest of the time. That minimizes the number of tapes you need to do a full restore. But, if a particular DLE changes too much then it may get bumped to a level 2 (or beyond). Again, that's controlled by the 'bump' parameters.
