Hi Geert,

Thanks for the idea. At the moment I'm using my WRT54G access point as my DHCP server and HyperWRT doesn't provide that option.

If switching my PowerBook becomes an issue then I'll switch over to using my Linux box as the DHCP server which will allow me to set up dhcpd as you suggest.

        hardware ethernet 00:11:22:33:44:55;
        fixed-address myhost.at.mydomain;
    }

and make sure myhost.at.mydomain is in your DNS config, too.

Then your clients will always receive the same IP address.
