That is the problem. Both the drive and the robot are on SCSI ID 5. Can you
give me a quick how-to or point me in the right direction?

Are the drive and the changer on the same SCSI ID, but different LUNs?  If 
so, you'll need to recompile the kernel enabling "Scan all LUNs" support.

If not, post the output of 'cat /proc/scsi/scsi'
