I'd check the performance of this software raid.
I note in in this extracted part of your report:
DUMPER STATS
DISK L ORIG-KB MMM:SS KB/s
--------------- -----------------------------
/ 3 50730 10:18 82.1
/home 0 3138930 6:29 8071.3
/usr/local 0 1135110 9:28 1997.6
/var/log 0 212930 0:23 9281.4
/www 0 239240 0:36 6579.7
Your local / dir only dumped 50 Meg of data (level 3) but at a speed of
just 82 KB/sec. In contrast, your /home dumped 3 Gig of data in 2/3's
the time.
This dumping performance is probably magnified for the estimate phase
where 4 passes were made over the / file system to check the sizes
of level 0, 1, 2, and 3 deciding which to do.
