Yes Les,

I am doing the topology update to database online and not timely update, as I am using TIPN Queries which needs updated status.

Thanx for your input I will hold my debugging till the TMR Server & framework gets restored.

Regards,
Santosh

Revision to my earlier comment: I was reminded that there are people out
there who actually run with their topology live in the relational database,
    as
opposed to just dumping it there from time to time. I've just never run
    across one.

If that is the case, then, yes, framework updates might affect you. You
    might
try increasing the level of logging on the rim trace to look for clues.

This is probably NOT related to the framework or your TMR server. If
    Netview
is installed on your TMR server, then it might suffer from performance
constraints, which could conceivably contribute to status update problems.
There is also no connection between your running netview and the
topology dumped to the db2 database.

Where to start? Are you running with the Router Fault Isolator code
enabled? It is on by default at 6.0.2. There are some problems with
certain status updates that are fixed in 6.0.3. Is ipmap failing? There
will be messages in the nettl logs in /usr/OV/log. See the man
page for netfmt to format those. Also check nv6000.log in the
user's home directories. You will probably end up needing to call
Support if it is not an RFI problem.

    NetView Map Update

    Hi,

I have NetView 6.0.2 on AIX 4.3.3 with FW 3.7 Have Db2 with topology
    database integrated with it.

During last week we faced tivoli performance problem on TMR Server, Tivoli
Support team has adviced to apply some patches........... This process is
    going on.

I noticed since then that the NetView Console object update is not
happening properly ( Status colour does not get changed ) where as the
status shown through Tools -> Display Object Information shows the object
    in normal state.

Before starting the troubleshooting and debugging the problem I need
advice, Can this problem be due to the Framework is unstable ? Where should
    I start for debugging.

    dbtrace shows the updates regularly.

    Santosh
