If you really have a single router showing up as multiple objects then
something is wrong.
Usually this is the result of an SNMP problem. The only way that NetView
knows that those multiple objects are one router is for his SNMP queries
to tell him that all those interfaces are on the same box. Check you
community names and demandpoll the object(s)? Do they respond? I'll bet
not.

Subject: [nv-l] OBJECT NAMES / IP ADDESSES
I don't know if it can be done but sure would like a fix.
Is there a means within Netview to discover a device such as a cisco
router
by it's name and only display a single icon for it. In some cases I have
as many as 20 icons for the same router. I have considered putting them
all in a location icon but that seems like a lot of work with very little
return.
Thanks,
Mike
