[Bacula-users] Granular management of op emails from Bacula

Bacula 7.4.2
Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
LTO-3 Scsi
I am a recent adopter of bacula, and am still in the throws of getting it to do
things as i think i would like. My main full backup takes three tapes and the
issue i would like help with is managing messages that tell me “Please mount
append Volume “xxxx” or label a new one etc etc” - these currently come at a
frequency of every 5 seconds - - i was looking for a solution that would give
me gradually increasing intervals so that bacula does not flood our operator
mail boxs (we use a human changer).
I note that i can set “TAPEDELAY” which i presume will give me some static
control
The only way i can see to approach this is to use the “Messages”
“operatorcommand” and set up a shell script to do what i want which is send
messages at the following intervals 0, 10, 30, 60, 120, 240 etc up to the
timeout value which is currently 3d.
Is this a sensible solution or am i missing something in bacula which will do
this.
