Hello,

2013/4/1 Phil Stracchino <alaric AT metrocast DOT net>
So, after a mostly-unsuccessful[1] experiment with Acronis TrueImage,
I've decided to revisit backing up the four Windows 7/64 machines on my
network using Bacula.  However, I understand there is significant
complexity in correctly handling mount points in the Windows Vista/7
family.

Is the key word 'Volume Mounted Points" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTFS_volume_mount_point)?
If so, do you want to use VSS with VMP?
If so, you have to assign a drive letter to the VMP to successfully backup files with Bacula. FileSet->Include->File should point to the drive letter assigned not to the VMP itself.

If this is not the case (no VSS nor VMP) then there is no need to do anything special for Windows Vista/7/8. I managed some number of Windows Vista/7 machines without a problem. I use a standard FileSet for this like File = "C:/" or File = "C:/Users", etc. I use VSS.

best regards
