Database is mysql.
I do not use tapes. Backup to disk only.

Definitions:

Client {
  Name = test-fd
  Password = secret
#Connection over 1GB crosslink
  Address = 192.168.1.2
  FDPort = 9102
  Catalog = MyCatalog
  File Retention = 14 days
  Job Retention = 6 months
}

FileSet {
  Name = test-fd
  Include {
#Here is roughly 2GB of mysl data
    File = /tmp/backup
    Options {
      signature = MD5
#I did different levels. Now without compression
 # Compression = GZIP9
    }
  }
}
Job {
  Name = test
  Type = Backup
  Level = Full
  Client = test-fd
  FileSet = test-fd
#I just start this one myself
  Schedule = never
  Storage = raid-xfs
  Pool = Pool1
  Messages = Standard
}

As said, the rate is still only ca. 11300kb/s.

Thanx,

Oliver
