I think I already purged it since I only have two volumes: the new one for the
new tape and the old Catalog volume. The problem is that I would like to delete
the old catalog entries as they are of no value to me since I don't have that
tape anymore. The Catalog volume file was not damaged by the power failure.
What is the format of the Volume File? Is there some way of decompressing it,
remove the old entries and compress it again?

How can I ignore this comment? bconsole doesn't ask me to answer any question.
It just states that message and returns.

What would happen if I just deleted the Catalog backup file? What is the reason
about backing up multiple catalog backups? Why just the last one (or the last
3) is not enough?

Thanks in advance,

Rodrigo.
