This is / and it only contains the os and applications. If I would not
have dumped the 8GB file there it had 15GB free. I could as well have
done the test on the images mount which has several TB free.

BTW, since I did not mention this in my first post. This is a not a
serve class machine just a dual core desktop system with an Athlon X2
5000 processor and 5 x 750GB Seagate 7200 drives connected to 5 of the
6 nvidia sata ports that are on the motheroboard. 4 of the drives are
7200.11 models and one is a 7200.10. I am planning on swapping that
out with a 7200.11 (so all the drives are the same model) when I add 5
more 750GB drives and make it raid6.
