Do you mean NAS, i.e. some device that offers some sort of 
network-mountable file systems?

In that case I see no difficulties - mount the appropriate disk (given 
this is a windows server, cifs might be the best way to access it - 
and use a subdirectory in that device as the device to store your volumes.

man mount.cifs (you need samba installed)
If authentication happens in an AD domain, you'll probably need to 
spend some some time with the samba documentation.
