Other things being equal, fulls will take longer because all files are
read on the target for the block checksum comparison (and read and
uncompressed on the server if you don't enable checksum caching).
But, it can be very slow to back up a large file  with changes, even
if the changes are small because of the way the differences are merged
- so the timing is fairly unpredictable.   And as long as it completes
overnight, it doesn't really matter much.
