Hi Lars,

Forget about 3.2.1, and just install it from the standard repository.
First edit /etc/apt/sources.list and enable lucid-backports:

deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-backports main restricted
universe multiverse

Then, install:

apt-get install backuppc
