[BackupPC-users] Backup via rsyncd is very slow

Hello Everyone,

I am currently trying to backup a windows 2008 file server via rsyncd. I am having an issue with performance. The data on the server is around 1 TB which is all user files. I have been trying to run a full backup of the server for several days without success. The backup ran for over 72 hours and only backed up around 200 GB.

· The server is on a on a gigabit lan with teamed NICs.

· The data is being written to a SAN with 12 spindles.

· I have already added another NIC and more memory to the file server.

I have left the compression at 3 but I have plenty of processing power in both machines. Any ideas?
