Yep.  BackupPC distributes the load automatically.  I limit the backups
to 4 at a time and I setup a blackout window from 7am to 4pm.  What this
means is that machines that are on all the time are *not* backed up
during the day between 7am and 4pm.  The machines that are not on all
the time (e.g. laptops) are then backed up during the day.  What I found
was that within 3 - 4 days the 250 machines had spread themselves out
over the 24 hour period.
