I don't have mail report (i don't know you to configure mail server with a
proxy).
What do you mean by "proxy"? I guess you mean an smtp-relay.
In sendmail.cf file, find the string "relay host" or "smart",
Maybe it looks like:
# "Smart" relay host (may be null)
DS
Change that into:
# "Smart" relay host (may be null)
DSsmtprelay.example.ocm
with "smtprelay.example.com" replaced by your intelligent mail
server.
Or, why not deliver the mail locally to a user on that computer, no mail
config needed. (e.g. the "amanda" user!)
Use "mailx" or "Mail" to send and read that mail (there exist many other
programs to read from a local mailspool too).
But when i have a look in amandad.******.debug or amdump.*****.debug, i
don't see error messages
Strange. A file named "amdump.****.debug" does not even exist :-)
However, a file named "sendsize.***.debug" should exist (because
the server did receive the estimates), and a file "sendbackup.***.debug"
may contain some hints about what is going on.
Even if it does not contain an error message, the timestamps could
indicate it takes too long, and the amanda server timed out.
But because you did not receive a mail report, you cannot even see that
error message.
