In a log file, there are this messages :

How can i do to give the permision to the user to open this directory ?

Did you run once as user root?

Whos is the owner of the dirs?  "chown amanda" to fix maybe?
Is the /amanda directory owned by the correct user?
Is /amanda a local disk, or network disk?
