You can make them almost any reasonable size. Here, I have the tapetype
set for about 8GB, using 21 vtapes on a partition of about 180GB of a
200GB drive, and then adjust the dumpcycle to keep the overall
partition useage at 85 to 90%.

I've just added 4 more dle's on a different machine and added a day,
from 4 to 5, to the dumpcycle and runspercycle, and its actually
dropped to 82% usage of the disk, leaving room for even more dle's
should I feel they are needed. Or for me not to have to clean house
in /usr/src so often. I tend to collect kernel trees at about 240 megs
each if a make clean has been done, about half a gig if built. As it
is, I've the ability to back up 4 dumpcycles if need be with this
lashup. Call me paranoid. :)

Cheers, Gene
People having trouble with vz bouncing email to me should add the word
'online' between the 'verizon', and the dot which bypasses vz's
stupid bounce rules. I do use spamassassin too. :-)
