One "strange" thing is the "use -4gb".  This smells like
a perfect attraction for 32 bit overflows, although I think
amanda internally counts in 32K blocks, instead of bytes, to
avoid these issues.
How large is the holdingdisk?  Could you change this into "use -1Gb"
for testing?
