I believe all that is covered in the docs, and of late there is a 
special iptables module just for amanda if you are running on linux, 
2.6 series kernels newer than 2.6.8-1 have it I think.  But don't 
make me lay my hand on the good book to say that, I could be wrong as 
I've not had to contend with that here, everything I'm doing is 
behind the firewall.
