Those messages are due to the NPTL patches in the RH9 kernel.  Look
through the list archvies for a patch from someone at RH fixing this
problem.

Like Joshua, I know little about signal handling, etc. Does anyone else think it odd that deleting that one line cures the warning without causing any problems?
