I don't have an entry for tapedev in amanda.conf. I use chg-multi for the
changer, with
changerfile "/usr/.../changer.conf"

In changer.conf, there are these entries:

slot 1 file:/home/amanda/testSet1
slot 2 file:/home/amanda/testSet2
...
