I ran a label printer for a while, but its awful hard to read one
sized to fit in the DDS2 casette box, not to mention the paper
debris getting into the tapes wasn't such a great idea, so I
stopped.

But it seems to me I had to do something with the perms someplace,
like amanda didn't have access to the printer or something along
those lines. That was back in jurrasic times when I was using
LPRng, but now I've seen the light and use cups. In any event
today I'd set it up to use the 3-hole.ps and keep them in a 3 ring
binder rather than risk contaminating the tape by tossing a slip of
freshly cut to size paper in its container.

This admittedly is a difficult area to debug because the printer
manager in use will usually just delete the job without a trace
before you can get at it to see what went south, usually within
about a minute.
