Bart, 

What does the /tmp/amanda/sendsize.debug file on beow look like? Is it
possible that it needs an update to dump? Is this happening on all of your
machines or just a few? What version of AMANDA? 

If I had to guess from here, there's something really confused in/around
sendsize on the machine being backed up. If it was one of my Linux boxen,
I'd be looking for a new version of dump. (Yes, I know the whole dump
warning flamefest, thanks.)
