Also an interesting contradiction, since in Windows this type of change *does* 
trigger a new backup.
Massive ones.  Which is then its own problem.

Exactly what my Linux OS person said.  We are going to have to completely 
rebuild the box due to the user (yes, we are going to revoke sudo/root
privileges)  doing a "chown -R <someuser> / ".  Eventhough he was able to fix a 
lot of the attributes using rpm, there will always be the lingering question of 
what was missed and how many more hours will be wasted in the future fixing 
more permissions as they are found....
